David is the fifth generation in his family to be involved with agriculture in Sonoma County. Dating back to the 1800’s his great, great grandparents grew prunes in Santa Rosa, California. His father is the Assistant Agriculture commissioner for Sonoma County.
In 2003, David graduated from CalPoly with a degree in Fruit Sciences. Through college and after graduation, David spent summers from 2000 to 2005 working as the Assistant Vineyard Manager at Napa Valley's highly regarded Ferrari Carrano winery.
In 2008, he met with David Di Loreto and Chuck Mansfield and agreed to join the team. Today he combines modern farming with the renowned soil on Westside Road and is looking forward to a bright future as more and more of the property is planted and starts to bear fruit.
David has two sons who like to join him in the vineyard on weekends and can already identify different vines and grapes, and with whom he enjoys soccer and fishing during his time off.
